Hiya Joy, I guess I had one of the few doctors who do not give goals. He saw me 9 months after surgery, smiled and said you are half yourself, I had gone in with Olivia for her surgery when I saw him.
I do take, and will have to take steroids the rest of my life...but is such a LOW dosage, compared to what I had to take before.
So,my goal is to live and eat as right as I can.
Someone did point out to me that I have stalled since starting my water areobics (sp)...so be it...smile.
So great to see you.

Hi Linda,
Yesterday was the almost all day trip to the VA Rheumatologist for DH. Breakfast was normal, late lunch/dinner at Olive Garden. I had 1 bowl of Minestrone & 2 servings of Salad, so thought I'd be ok. Calories ended up ok, scale up 1 pound, so must be way too much sodium though as today the hands and fingers feel tight and stiff.. ouch and humidity is higher today so maybe a combination.
Pre-B- S/F Decaf Int'l Coffee- different but good
B- Kashi & skim Milk
L- Leftover Roast Beef & some grape tomatoes
D-??? not sure yet..
Hugs, Paulette

Paulette, I feel your pain girl!! My doctor tells me to drink as much green tea as I want.
Some people do not drink tea, for they say it dehydrates,I never have a problem like that,do to meds. I only take a fluid pill 2 or 3 times a week. I do not want to beat my kidneys up.
I hope the swelling goes down soon, it makes your arthritis more painful.
I am lucky to live where there is not much humidity, but boy do I feel even the smallest amount!
Feel better soon.
Hugs!

Good morning Linda and Friends!
Self-acceptance is a wonderful thing. That's what I need! Lately I'm finding too much fault with myself. I'm letting my surroundings dictate my self-worth. Today is a new day and I'm gonna try to accept myself for who and what I am.
B - protein shake
S - protein shake
L - either Nutrisystem vegetable beef soup or another protein shake
S - yogurt
D - fish, broccoli, and salad
S - who knows, maybe another protein shake or cottage cheese and fruit
Debbie

Linda,
Self-acceptance is so important.
When I went to visit Mom yesterday (at 1:15 pm), she was lying in bed, full clothed, under the quilt. I asked her if she didn't feel well and she said, "I'm old and tired and if I want to stay in bed all day, I think I should be able to do that." So I sat on the edge of the bed and chatted with her, wondering if at any minute the nurse (who disapproves of lay-abeds) would come in at any moment and catch us.
B: 1 packet weight control oatmeal made w/ 2/3 c. skim milk & 1/2 c. mango
S: 1/2 c. butterscotch cottage cheese pudding
L: 3 oz catfish, 2 oz Thai slaw
S: 1/2 c. LF cottage cheese w/strawberries
D: 3 oz eggplant Parmesan, 1/2 c. sliced cucumbers w/ fresh dill
S: 4 oz SF chocolate peanut-butter pudding
